Marking its 50th anniversary, Breakthrough is so thankful to have Wong Chun Hei Stephen, to be Artist-in-Residence at the Breakthrough Youth Village. The collection, titled “A Youth Village on the Hill”, offers a profound view of Shatin, illustrating the ongoing dialogues between action and contemplation, nature and creation, space and culture, reflecting the vibrancy of life and the community.

80後藝術家黃進曦(Stephen)近年以風景畫於畫壇嶄露頭角，疫情期間他踏遍香港山林作畫紀錄，上月他悄然地進駐突破青年村，展開一系列藝術項目，同時與村內年輕人交流。
「像極了愛情」的青年交流
黃進㬢與多位「Trial and Error Lab」的年輕人進行藝術交流。
「我不喜歡『教』青年人做什麼，自己也不喜歡被說教，反而鼓勵青年人多嘗試，從多方面探索中汲取經驗，自然就會找到自己的出路。」問Stephen與年輕人相處的感想，他這樣說。
Stephen 的畫作色調絢麗，個人作風卻平實低調。 8月豔陽高掛，Stephen參與「Trial and Error Lab」的活動，與多位熱愛繪畫的年輕人進行藝術交流。當日他即席示範，如何在光影變化迅速的黃昏捕捉瞬間來構成畫作……
Breakthrough has been serving youth in Hong Kong since 1973. Our mission is to support the wholistic growth of those age between 10-30. Established in 1996, Breakthrough Youth Village offers young people and the community a space for learning and renewal, focusing on cultural and personal development. As a non-subvention, non-profit organization, we rely on donations and sponsorship to sustain our work & services.
